Preview the first Mr. Fingers EP in ten years

It’s no secret we’re huge Larry Heard fans down here at House Cult, so you can imagine the excitement that ensued here when we heard the inventor of deep house is about to release his first Fingers EP in over ten years.

The untitled EP will be released on Heard’s Alleviated imprint next month and is distributed exclusively through Clone Distribution. It features four exquisite tracks that all have that special something only Heard can deliver.

Opener ‘Outer Acid’ is a sweet little groover that balances subtle guitar chords and melancholic vibes with 303 action, followed by the spacey yet emotive EP highlight ‘Qwasars’ ‘Nodyahead’ on side B is a latin-tinged dancefloor mover with funky tribal percussion and chords that are soaked in pure bliss. The slo mo sunday afternoon track ‘Aether’ rounds off this great EP.
