Check out Shlomi Aber’s debut for Len Faki’s Figure

This week Shlomi Aber makes his first appearance on Len Faki’s Figure imprint and it’s safe to say it’s an absolute cracker.

Shlomi Aber’s first for Len Faki’s label is called ‘Under Two Worlds’ and is one of our absolute favorites of the moment, occupying the middle ground between harsh and unforgiving techno minimalism and subdued subtlety with three outstanding tracks.

‘Under two Worlds‘ grooves along a funky melodic riff, while anthemic synths recall bygone moments of grandeur. This unique Aber-ability, creating a composition that is as elegantly understated as it is epic, also comes through on the record‘s B-side.

Paced only at half-time and drenched in dubby reverb, the weighing beats of ‘Rumbles‘ engage with delicately shaped sounds for some seriously spaced-out head nods. ‘Matrix‘ is a tightly woven mesh of machinery insides, which Aber nevertheless manages to channel into a fairly straight- forward kinetic energy.

‘Under Two Worlds is out now on Figure Records.
