Kask – Periferia (X-Kalay)

Here’s a record we’ve been playing a lot lately: the first release on the new London-based X-Kalay imprint by up-and-coming Estonian producer Andreas Kask, containing four fresh and freaky slices of real ass house music.

‘Periferia’ kicks off with the slow burning, high impact deep house vibes of the title track, that’s all about vintage sounding percussion before the warm and emotional synth pads kick in. ‘Orion Cloud Complex’ picks up the tempo considerably, but maintains the warm and ecstatic house vibe that defines the Kask sound.

On the B-side the exotic and ethereal ‘Untitled’ starts out as a spheric ambient trip when the lightweight percussion takes over halfway. Fellow Estonian Ajukaja transforms it into a crazy energetic house bomb that’s been on repeat for a while now here at House Cult headquarters. We absolutely love this.

‘Periferia’ is out now through X-Kalay.
