Late March will see Power Plant Records unveil a remix package of the recently released ‘Feline’ EP by La Fleur, featuring mixes from Art Of Tones and Jesper Ryom.
Örebro, Sweden born now Berlin based Sanna La Fleur Engdahl’s career has been continually elevating over the past few years, both as a DJ and producer Sanna has excelled, continually delivering underground electronic sounds for the discerning listener. Over the years productions have surfaced on reputable imprints such as Watergate, Moodmusic, Lo:Rise, and of course her own Power Plant Records, which has now doubled up as a fashion label ‘Power Plant Elements’, it appears La Fleur’s talent and creativity has no bounds.
Here we see a remix package offered up of La Fleur’s ‘Feline’ EP which dropped on the imprint late last year, the first of which comes from newcomer Jesper Ryom, a Berlin based producer who recently released his debut single ‘Nature Boy’ on Power Plant Records receiving critical acclaim. It’s no surprise to see Jesper enlisted again on remix duties here, as he delivers a striking interpretation of ‘Kattflickan’ packed with stunning melodies, deft rhythmic twists and some haunting vocal interplay.
Local Talk / 2020Vision artist Art Of Tones, aka Ludovic LLorca steps up to reshape ‘Kattflickan’ next, the French producer offers up an intelligent and understated interpretation, both classic and contemporary, instilled with soul and tinges of jazz, yet maintaining a rugged dance floor appeal to round off the remixes brilliantly. Also on offer are the original cuts from the ‘Feline’ EP as an added extra to the package.
