New Order have released details of their much-anticipated first record for Mute Records. Their first studio album in nearly ten years will be called ‘Music Complete’ and is set for release in late September.
According to the New Order website the album will be released on CD, download and limited edition clear vinyl. In addition, there will be an exclusive 8-piece deluxe vinyl collection that includes the album plus extended versions of all 11 tracks on coloured vinyl.
‘Music Complete’ is New Order’s first full studio release since 2005’s ‘Waiting For The Siren’s Call’, and their debut for Mute. It’s also the first New Order album that does not feature Peter Hook, as he and New Order have not been on good terms in recent years. The current line-up includes Bernard Summer, drummer Stephen Morris, keyboardist Gillian Gilbert and Phil Cunningham, with bassist Tom Chapman replacing Hook.
