Up first, ‘Body Without Soul’ is a deep, elastic number with bumpy drums, lush synth chords and romantic feels throughout thanks to the muted female vocals. Next up is ‘Eighty’, a more direct and percussive number with classic 909 sounding kicks down low and swingin’ drums giving it the feel of a classic New Jersey joint.
‘Look Both Ways’ then flips the script with some heavyweight, slowed down drums. A track that has a sense of spaced out emotion in the pads and distant vocal sounds. ‘Moonshine’ on the flip is the most direct of the lot, with more rubbery, rolling drums and ravey vocal clips run through with vintage sounding New Jersey percussion.
‘Both Ways’ is out on May 27th through RM Music.
