Fresh from releasing the latter of two EPs on their own W&O Street Tracks imprint, acclaimed DJ/producer duo Waze & Odyssey are proud to announce their inaugural single project for Sony.

Originally produced as a bootleg of R Kelly’s 1993 classic ‘Bump ‘N Grind’ back in 2012, the track has gone on to become something of a dance floor classic, amassing well over 1.5 million YouTube views and firmly cementing itself as an unofficial summer anthem in the process.

Built around a deep, soulful house template, Waze & Odyssey’s ‘Bump & Grind 2014’ is intelligently crafted dance music at it’s most exuberant, playful and utterly immersive. Interjected by snippets of R Kelly’s iconic vocal, it builds with a trademark lead bassline and infectious synth-led melodies that pave the way for a superb, extended instrumental breakdown in which Kelly’s vocal takes centre stage, before kick-staring the hands-in-the-air euphoria all over again. Anthemic in it’s composition but more importantly, successfully road-tested the world over, it’s a single that is sure to make a huge impression this summer.

Backed by some of their most important contemporaries in Maya Jane Coles, Skream, Horse Meat Disco, Bicep, Deetron and Steve Bug, as well as making regular radio appearances alongside tastemakers Pete Tong and Annie Mac, ‘Bump & Grind 2014’ marks the most exciting chapter of Waze & Odyssey’s career to date.
