Yotam Avni drops Ovum debut

[separator type=”thin”]

House Cult contributor Yotam Avni is a modern sort of renaissance man. He writes articles for newspapers and mags, organizes his own parties in Tel Aviv, doubles as one of the city’s most wanted DJ’s and from what we’ve heard he even raps. On top of that he’s released records on Robsoul, Be As One and Osunlade’s Yoruba imprint. And now Ovum.

Yotam’s debut for Josh Wink’s revered imprint may well be his biggest bomb to date. A strong dancefloor groover that’s equal parts Chicago house, Detroit techno and Berlin dub techno, with some well placed  cut up gospel soul vocals added for extra impact. Check out the preview below.

And while you’re at it, check out some of his recent interviews with Steve Rachmad, Oliver Deutschmann, Antigone and Andre Kronert too.

‘This Is How’ is out on September 21 on Ovum Recordings.
